BARAADSAR LAKE

Baraadsar Lake remains one of the least explored trails in the Himalayas, despite sharing its base village, Sankri, with renowned treks such as Har ki Dun, Bali Pass, Rupin Pass, and many others. Nestled on the absolute border between Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, this hidden gem lies neatly between the Rupin and Supin valleys. The trail offers trekkers magnificent views of some of the prominent peaks in the Garhwal range, including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak.

Shrouded in mystery, Baraadsar Lake is revered by locals for its supposed superpowers. This sacred cauldron, perched at an altitude of 4,600 meters, boasts some of the cleanest and bluest waters you will ever see. The lake is so well-hidden that it remains out of sight until trekkers traverse miles of rugged terrain, ascend hundreds of meters, and finally reach a vantage point just 200 meters away, where they can catch their first glimpse of its pristine beauty.
