>How do you manage toilets?We use portable toilet tents for sanitation needs, as permanent structures may not available. These are dry toilets, so please bring wet wipes or tissue paper for personal hygiene.

>Do I need to carry trek equipment?For this trek you just need a day bag to carry during the trek, extra luggage can be left behind at the camp site. Proper bedded swiss tents are available on this trek.

>Can we consume Alcohol during the trek?It’s a strict no. If you fall sick during the trek due to alcohol consumption H2H has the right to cancel your trek and send you back to base village. No expenses shall be refunded in that case and you will have to pay additional for stay at base village.

>How do I prepare for the trek?Start running/walking at least 3-4 Kms everyday.

>What kind of shoes will I need? Does a sport shoe work?If it’s a snow trek a good trekking shoe is mandatory. If you buy a new shoe do walk for few days so that it fits you well and doesn’t leave you with blisters while you trek. If it is a summer trek or post monsoon trek a shoe with good grip and ankle support will do.

This certificate must be filled out by an MBBS doctor. Without it, the forest department will not issue permissions for your trek. Hike2Heaven also requires this certificate.

An essential part of Live Saving Drugs, Diamox helps reduce the chances of Acute Mountain Sickness on the trek.

  • A paracetamol that tackles fever and mild pain.

If you are prone to motion sickness, carry Avomine. Take one-half hour before the start of your road journey.

 Useful for sudden twists or muscle strains. Combiflam is a pain reliever containing paracetamol.

 Take it if you feel the food, you’ve consumed is undigested. Alert your trek leader immediately, as it could be a sign of AMS.

 Consume an ORS pack at least once a day, usually mid-day during your trek. It replenishes essential salts lost while trekking. Tip: It also makes cold water easier to drink.

Carry this if you are prone to knee injury or have known issues of knee pain.

Gateway to the Himalayas

 

Journey Begins:Embark on your journey early in the morning from the spiritual town of Rishikesh for a picturesque drive to Joshimath. Along the way, soak in the breathtaking views of the Garhwal mountains as you pass through several charming Himalayan towns.


Arrival at Joshimath:Reach Joshimath by evening, a pivotal hub for pilgrims and trekkers venturing into the Uttarakhand Himalayas. Spend the night here, acclimatizing and preparing yourself for the upcoming trek.


The Trek Commences

 

Drive to Vishnuprayag:After breakfast, set out from Joshimath to Vishnuprayag, where the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers converge. From Vishnuprayag, proceed to Painka Village, the starting point of your trek.


Trek to Souldhar:Embark on your trek from Painka Village to Souldhar. The trail presents a mix of uphill climbs and stunning landscapes. Set up camp at Souldhar amidst the serene beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas.


Ascending Through Meadows

 

Trek to Jehri Khark:Continue your trek from Souldhar to Jehri Khark. Today's journey guides you through verdant meadows and dense forests, providing glimpses of the region's rich flora and fauna.

Trek to Pulna:Commence your descent from Rajkhark to Pulna, gradually making your way through forests and alongside streams.

  • Full payment must be made in advance to confirm bookings and can be done in Cash/UPI/Bank account only.
  • Personal cheques and post-dated cheques are not acceptable.
  • Payments can be deposited using bank details, online payment, Gpay, Phonepe, Paytm.
  • A scan or fax copy of the bank-stamped deposit Pay-in slip or a screenshot of the transaction is required for online transfers.
