>What if we want to leave extra luggage at the base village?
You can keep extra luggage in the base village for any particular trek. There are no cloak room charges applicable. Its free of cost.

>Is there mobile signals available on treks?
If you are going on a trek don’t expect mobile signals. There are few spots on the trails of few treks where you might find a single tower or something but it always depends if that is enough to make a call or not.

>How do you manage toilets?
We use portable toilet tents for sanitation needs, as permanent structures may not available. These are dry toilets, so please bring wet wipes or tissue paper for personal hygiene.

>Do I need to carry trek equipment?
For this trek you just need a day bag to carry during the trek, extra luggage can be left behind at the camp site. Proper bedded swiss tents are available on this trek

>Can we consume Alcohol during the trek?
It’s a strict no. If you fall sick during the trek due to alcohol consumption H2H has the right to cancel your trek and send you back to base village. No expenses shall be refunded in that case and you will have to pay additional for stay at base village.

>How do I prepare for the trek?
Start running/walking at least 3-4 Kms everyday.

>What kind of shoes will I need? Does a sport shoe work?
If it’s a snow trek a good trekking shoe is mandatory. If you buy a new shoe do walk for few days so that it fits you well and doesn’t leave you with blisters while you trek. If it is a summer trek or post monsoon trek a shoe with good grip and ankle support will do.

Carry the original and a photocopy of a government-issued photo identity card. This can include a driver’s license, Aadhar Card, or passport. The forest department requires this for identification purposes.

This certificate must be filled out by an MBBS doctor. Without it, the forest department will not issue permissions for your trek. Hike2Heaven also requires this certificate.

PERSONAL MEDICAL /HEALTH KIT: -

An essential part of Live Saving Drugs, Diamox helps reduce the chances of Acute Mountain Sickness on the trek.

  • A paracetamol that tackles fever and mild pain.

If you are prone to motion sickness, carry Avomine. Take one-half hour before the start of your road journey.

 Useful for sudden twists or muscle strains. Combiflam is a pain reliever containing paracetamol.

 Take it if you feel the food, you’ve consumed is undigested. Alert your trek leader immediately, as it could be a sign of AMS.

 Consume an ORS pack at least once a day, usually mid-day during your trek. It replenishes essential salts lost while trekking. Tip: It also makes cold water easier to drink.

Carry this if you are prone to knee injury or have known issues of knee pain.

Our trek leaders carry a high-altitude medical kit, including Life Saving Drugs, and are trained to handle emergencies. Contact your trek leader before consuming any of these medicines.

Details

Kuari Pass, at an altitude of 12,516 ft above Mean Sea Level, witnesses temperature in the range of 5°c to -10°c on normal, sunny days. The trek begins from Joshimath, in the Chamoli district of Himalayas, which has evolved into the hub for trekkers and pilgrims in this part of the Himalayas.

Journey to Tugasi Village via Dhak

 

Drive to Dhak: The first leg of the journey involves a drive from Rishikesh to Dhak, covering a distance of approximately 200 kilometers. This scenic route takes trekkers through the changing landscapes of Uttarakhand, offering glimpses of local life, verdant valleys, and the unfolding Himalayan terrain.


Transition to Tugasi: From Dhak, trekkers embark on a short trek to Tugasi Village. This initial trekking phase introduces adventurers to the rural beauty of the region, with Tugasi offering a serene environment and a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the mountain communities.

Trek Begins

 

Ascent to Guling/Akhrotghetta: The day's trek from Tugasi towards Guling or Akhrotghetta unfolds through lush forests and along mountain ridges, offering stunning views and a peaceful trekking experience. This segment of the journey allows trekkers to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Himalayas.


Arrival at Khullara Camp

Trek to Tali via Kuari Pass

 

Kuari Pass Adventure: Covering a distance of 7.65 kilometers, the trek from Khullara to Tali via Kuari Pass is a highlight of the journey, offering panoramic views of the Garhwal Himalayas.   • Modification or Amendment is accepted in compliance with the cancellation policy. Any changes in tax must be paid by the guest.

  • Guaranteed bookings are those for which the full and final payments have been received before start of Trek.
  • 30% of the payment must be done at the time of booking.
  • The remaining 70% of the payment must be cleared before arrival as it is required to arrange stay, food, and other equipment for the trek.
  • Full payment must be made in advance to confirm bookings and can be done in Cash/UPI/Bank account only.
  • Personal cheques and post-dated cheques are not acceptable.
  • Payments can be deposited using bank details, online payment, Gpay, Phonepe, Paytm.
  • A scan or fax copy of the bank-stamped deposit Pay-in slip or a screenshot of the transaction is required for online transfers.
