Journey Begins: Start from Dehradun early in the morning to embark on your journey to Gangotri, one of the char dhams and a revered place in the heart of Uttarakhand. Enjoy the scenic drive through the mountains, witnessing the beauty of the Garhwal region.
Arrive in Gangotri: Reach Gangotri by late afternoon or evening. Take this time to explore the town, visit the Gangotri Temple, and prepare for the trek ahead. Overnight stay in Gangotri.
Trek Starts: Trek from Gangotri to Bhoj Kharak. The trail ascends through dense forests, offering stunning views of the rugged terrain. Bhoj Kharak is named after the Bhoj trees found in the area.
Camp at Bhoj Kharak: Set up camp in Bhoj Kharak for the night, amidst the tranquility of the forest.
Ascend to Kedar Kharak: Continue the trek from Bhoj Kharak to Kedar Kharak. The trail becomes steeper, taking you through alpine meadows with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Camp at Kedar Kharak:Arrive at Kedar Kharak, a scenic meadow ideal for camping. Prepare for the next day's journey to Kedar Tal.
Reach Kedartal: Continue your trek from Kedarkharak to Kedartal, a stunning glacial lake situated at an altitude of around 4,750 meters. The lake is set against the backdrop of mighty Himalayan peaks, providing breathtaking views.
Explore Kedartal: Spend time exploring the area around Kedartal, capturing its beauty and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Camp near the lake for an unforgettable experience under the clear night sky.
Additional Exploration: If your itinerary includes a specific base camp beyond Kedartal, use this day to trek towards that base camp. This could involve further exploration of the surrounding peaks or valleys.
Camp at Base Camp: Establish your camp at the base camp. This day is for acclimatization and preparation for the return journey or further exploration depending on your itinerary.
Descend to Kedarkharak: Begin your return trek from Kedartal (or base camp) back to Kedarkharak. The descent allows you to take in the stunning landscapes from a new perspective.
Overnight in Kedarkharak: Spend another night at Kedarkharak, resting from the day's journey and preparing for the trek back to Gangotri.
Trek Back to Gangotri: Continue your descent from Kedarkharak, heading back to Gangotri. This marks the final leg of your trek, offering one last opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the region.
Return to Civilization: Arrive in Gangotri by the afternoon or evening. Spend the remainder of the day resting and reflecting on your trekking experience.
Journey Back to Dehradun: Depart from Gangotri to Dehradun. The drive back through the mountains provides a time for contemplation and appreciation of the trek's challenges and achievements.
Arrival in Dehradun: Conclude your journey as you arrive back in Dehradun, bringing with you memories of the breathtaking Kedartal, the serene landscapes of the Garhwal Himalayas, and the spiritual ambiance of Gangotri.

1.DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: -
To ensure a smooth and hassle-free trekking experience with Hike2Heaven, make sure you have the following documents ready. These documents are required by both Hike2Heaven and the forest department, and without them, you will not be permitted to trek.
1.Government Photo Identity Card: Carry the original and a photocopy of a government- issued photo identity card. This can include a driver’s license, Aadhar Card, or passport. The forest department requires this for identification purposes.
2. Disclaimer Certificate: The disclaimer certificate consists of two sections:
•Personal Medical Record if anyDuring registration at the base camp, hand it over to your Trek Leader.
Pro Tips:. Safeguard your important documents by placing them in a clear plastic cover and sliding them into the inner pocket at the back of your backpack. This precaution prevents them from getting wet and ensures their safety throughout the trek.

2. VITAL GEAR KIT: -
Before making any gear purchases, consider inquiring at Hike2Heaven for custom-made, high- quality gear available at just 5% of the buying cost. Rent trekking essentials like shoes, backpacks, padded jackets, trekking poles, rainwear, and headlamps for less than Rs 1400 for the entire duration of your trek.
3.PERSONAL MEDICAL/HEALTH KIT: -
Ensure you carry these medicines with you, easily accessible always. Remember not to take any medicine unless you have consulted your trek leader.
1. Diamox (1 Strip): An essential part of Live Saving Drugs, Diamox helps reduce the chances of Acute Mountain Sickness on the trek.
2. Dolo 650 (5 tablets): A paracetamol that tackles fever and mild pain.
3. Avomine (4 tablets): If you are prone to motion sickness, carry Avomine. Take one-half hour before the start of your road journey.
4. Combiflam (5 tablets): Useful for sudden twists or muscle strains. Combiflam is a pain reliever containing paracetamol.
5. Digene (4 tablets): Take it if you feel the food, you've consumed is undigested. Alert your trek leader immediately, as it could be a sign of AMS.
6. ORS (6 packs): Consume an ORS pack at least once a day, usually mid-day during your trek. It replenishes essential salts lost while trekking. Tip: It also makes cold water easier to drink.
7. Knee Brace (optional): Carry this if you are prone to knee injury or have known issues of knee pain.
