Day 1

Manali Arrival Then Drive to Jobra Then Trek to Chika

Journey Begins: Depart from Manali, feeling the crisp morning air, as you drive to Jobra through winding roads bordered by lush forests and the expansive Kullu valley. The 2-hour journey showcases the vibrant landscapes of Himachal Pradesh.

Trek to Chika: Starting from Jobra, the trek to Chika is a gentle 2-3 hour walk alongside the Rani River, with the path lined by towering trees and the sound of flowing water as your constant companion. Camp at Chika, where the meadows stretch under the vast Himalayan sky.

Day 2

Chika to Balu Ka Ghera

Ascending through Valleys: With an early start, trek through diverse terrains, crossing streams and walking through alpine meadows. The trail gradually steepens, revealing the raw beauty of the Himalayas, untouched and serene. Balu Ka Ghera, a sandy, flat ground, serves as tonight's camp, nestled under a starlit sky.

Day 3

Balu Ka Ghera to Siagoru via Hampta Pass

Hampta Pass Challenge: The day's trek to Siagoru, crossing Hampta Pass, is the pinnacle of this journey. Starting early to traverse the steep ascent, you're rewarded with breathtaking views from the pass—contrasting landscapes of Lahaul's stark beauty and Kullu's verdant valleys. The descent to Siagoru is steep, leading to a tranquil campsite by the river.

Day 4

Siagoru to Chatru | Chandratal Lake

Trek to Chatru, Drive to Chandratal: A relatively easier trek down to Chatru sets the pace for an adventurous drive to Chandratal Lake. The road to Chandratal is rugged, a testament to the raw beauty of Spiti. Chandratal, with its emerald waters, is a sight to behold, encircled by majestic mountains.

Day 5

Chatru to Manali

Return Journey: The drive back to Manali is a time of reflection, winding through the roads you've now become familiar with, each turn a reminder of the journey's end. The landscapes slowly transition back to the lush greenery of the Kullu valley, marking the conclusion of an unforgettable trek.

How To Reach

By Air

If you're thinking of how to reach Manali by air, the nearest airport is at Bhuntar which is around 50 km from Manali. It is known as Kullu Manali Airport and it is located on the banks of the River Beas.

By Train

The broad gauge railway stations nearest to Manali are in Chandigarh (310 km) and Ambala (300 km).

By Road

No problem visiting Manali with own vehicle except Rohtang (due to permit issue). The entire trip can be done by self driven car. Don't have to pay any tolls, if it's not have a commercial number plate. Rohtang can also be done with the same car, after procuring the permit.
