>Can we consume alcohol during the trek? Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited during the trek. If a trekker is found consuming alcohol, they may be asked to return to the base village at their own expense, without any refund for the trek.

>How should I prepare for the Pangarchulla peak trek? Begin with cardiovascular exercises like running or walking 4-5 km daily. Strengthen your leg muscles with squats and lunges, and practice hiking with a loaded backpack to condition your body for the trek.

>What kind of shoes do I need for the Pangarchulla trek? A sturdy pair of trekking shoes with good grip and ankle support is essential. Ensure your shoes are well-broken in to avoid blisters. For winter treks, waterproof and insulated trekking boots are recommended.

>What kind of food will be provided? The trek includes three vegetarian meals a day along with evening snacks. The menu is designed to provide balanced nutrition and energy for the trek. Non-vegetarian food are generally not served.

Carry the original and a photocopy of a government-issued photo identity card. This can include a driver’s license, Aadhar Card, or passport. The forest department requires this for identification purposes.

This certificate must be filled out by an MBBS doctor. Without it, the forest department will not issue permissions for your trek. Hike2Heaven also requires this certificate.

An essential part of Live Saving Drugs, Diamox helps reduce the chances of Acute Mountain Sickness on the trek.

  • A paracetamol that tackles fever and mild pain.

If you are prone to motion sickness, carry Avomine. Take one-half hour before the start of your road journey.

 Useful for sudden twists or muscle strains. Combiflam is a pain reliever containing paracetamol.

 Take it if you feel the food, you’ve consumed is undigested. Alert your trek leader immediately, as it could be a sign of AMS.

 Consume an ORS pack at least once a day, usually mid-day during your trek. It replenishes essential salts lost while trekking. Tip: It also makes cold water easier to drink.

Carry this if you are prone to knee injury or have known issues of knee pain.

The Pangarchulla trek is a challenging high-altitude climb in the Indian Himalayas, offering spectacular views of Nanda Devi, Kamet, and other peaks, known for its beautiful meadows, dense forests, and thrilling summit climb.

Departure: Dehradun

 

Starting Point: Dehradun, nestled in the Doon Valley, is the gateway to the Himalayas, blending urban energy with natural beauty. It offers a vibrant start to the trekking journey. Journey to Joshimath and Tugasi Village


Scenic Drive to Joshimath: The drive from Dehradun to Joshimath spans approximately 290 kilometers, traversing through the heart of Uttarakhand. This route offers stunning views of river valleys, hill stations, and Himalayan vistas.


Transfer to Tugasi: From Joshimath, the journey continues to Tugasi Village, introducing trekkers to the remote and serene landscapes of the Garhwal region. Tugasi provides a peaceful base amidst lush surroundings to rest before the trek.


Ascent Begins

 

Trail to Khullara: The trek from Tugasi to Khullara is a journey through dense forests and open meadows, ascending into the heart of the Himalayas. This route showcases the diverse flora and offers occasional glimpses of the region's majestic peaks.


Camp at Khullara: Arriving at Khullara, trekkers find themselves surrounded by panoramic views of the Himalayas. The campsite serves as a strategic point for acclimatization and preparation for the upcoming treks to Kuari Pass and Pangarchulla Peak.



Kuari Pass Adventure

 

Trek to the Pass: The journey from Khullara to Kuari Pass is a highlight of the trek, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including Nanda Devi and Dronagiri. The pass itself provides a spectacular vantage point over the Garhwal Himalayas.


Return to Khullara: After spending time at Kuari Pass, trekkers return to Khullara campsite, retracing their steps through the stunning landscapes and reflecting on the day's experiences.


Pangarchulla Peak Summit

 

Challenge of Pangarchulla: The trek to Pangarchulla Peak is more demanding, requiring an early start and steady ascent. Reaching the summit offers a sense of achievement and unparalleled views of the Himalayan range.


Descent to Khullara: The return trek to Khullara allows trekkers to soak in the beauty of the trek one last time, providing ample opportunities for photography and reflection.


Return Trek

 

Descent to Tugasi: The trek back to Tugasi Village is a journey through the same captivating landscapes, marking the end of the high-altitude trekking portion. This return trek offers a time for contemplation and appreciation of the Himalayan wilderness.


Journey Back

 

Departure from Tugasi: Leaving the tranquility of Tugasi, the drive back to Joshimath and then to Dehradun retraces the scenic routes through Uttarakhand, offering one last embrace of the Himalayas.


Arrival in Dehradun: Completing the circle, the return to Dehradun brings the adventure to a close. The city, with its blend of natural and urban experiences, offers a welcoming end to the trek, inviting trekkers to rest and reminisce about their journey through the Himalayas.

  • Carry valid id card i.e. Aadhar Card/Passport/Driving Licence.
  • Modification or Amendment is accepted in compliance with the cancellation policy. Any changes in tax must be paid by the guest.

  • Guaranteed bookings are those for which the full and final payments have been received before start of Trek.
  • 30% of the payment must be done at the time of booking.
  • The remaining 70% of the payment must be cleared before arrival as it is required to arrange stay, food, and other equipment for the trek.
  • Full payment must be made in advance to confirm bookings and can be done in Cash/UPI/Bank account only.
  • Personal cheques and post-dated cheques are not acceptable.
  • Payments can be deposited using bank details, online payment, Gpay, Phonepe, Paytm.
  • A scan or fax copy of the bank-stamped deposit Pay-in slip or a screenshot of the transaction is required for online transfers.
