The Tapovan Trek, located in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayas, is a challenging yet rewarding adventure for experienced trekkers. Spanning approximately 60-70 kilometers , this trek typically takes 6 to 7 days to complete. The journey reaches its zenith at Tapovan, perched at 4,463 meters (14,640 feet) above sea level, offering stunning views of towering peaks such as Shivling and Bhagirathi.
Along the way, trekkers experience diverse landscapes, including lush meadows, alpine forests, and the awe-inspiring Gangotri Glacier. The trek is best undertaken between May to June and September to October, when the weather conditions are most favorable for trekking.
