Your Adventure at a Glance

The Nun Peak Expedition is one of the most demanding mountaineering adventures in the Indian Himalayas, taking climbers to the summit of Mount Nun, the highest peak in the Nun-Kun massif of Ladakh. Rising to an impressive altitude of 23,409 ft (7,135 m), the mountain dominates the skyline of the Suru Valley and offers a true high-altitude expedition experience filled with technical challenges, glacier travel, and extreme mountain conditions.

The journey begins in Leh, where climbers spend time acclimatizing to the altitude while exploring the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh. The route then continues through Kargil and the beautiful Suru Valley before reaching the expedition base camp beneath the towering Nun-Kun massif. From here, the real mountaineering challenge begins with multiple high camps, load ferries, glacier crossings, fixed rope sections, steep snow slopes, and technical summit pushes.

Nun Peak is not a trekking peak; it is a serious mountaineering objective that demands excellent physical endurance, prior high-altitude climbing experience, and technical knowledge of using mountaineering equipment. The expedition rewards climbers with breathtaking views of the Zanskar Range, vast glacial landscapes, dramatic ridgelines, and one of the most prestigious summits in the Indian Himalayas.

This expedition is ideal for experienced mountaineers looking to test their skills on a challenging 7000-meter peak while experiencing the rugged beauty of Ladakh’s remote mountain terrain.
