Day 1

Rishikesh to Ransi Village

Arrival at Ransi: Use the remainder of the day to acclimatize and explore Ransi Village. Prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 2

Ransi to Madymaeshwar

Trek to Madhyamaheshwar: Start your trek from Ransi towards Madhyamaheshwar, one of the five Panch Kedar temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The trail winds through lush forests and offers stunning views of the valley.

Explore Madhyamaheshwar: Spend time at Madhyamaheshwar Temple, located at an altitude of 3490 meters. Soak in the spiritual ambiance and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Day 3

Day 3 Madymaheshwar to Kanchani Khal

Trek to Kanchani Khal: Continue from Madhyamaheshwar towards Kanchani Khal, ascending through alpine meadows and rugged terrains. This section of the trek offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks.

Camp at Kanchani Khal: Set up camp near the pass for the night. Prepare for the next day's descent to Pandavsera.

Day 4

Kachani Dhar to Pandav Sera

Trek to Pandavsera: Begin your descent from Kanchani Dhar to Pandavsera, a valley rich in mythological significance, believed to have been visited by the Pandavas during their exile.

Explore Pandavsera: Spend the day exploring the area and its serene beauty. Camp here for the night.

Day 5

Pandav Sera to Nandikund to Betarni Bugyal via Ghiya Vinayak Pass

Trek to Nandikund: Trek from Pandavsera to Nandikund, a high-altitude lake known for its crystal-clear waters and sacred significance.

Continue to Betarni Bugyal: After visiting Nandikund, proceed to Betarni Bugyal, a sprawling alpine meadow offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Camp at Betarni Bugyal: Spend the night camping in the meadows, enjoying the tranquility and natural beauty.

Day 6

Betarni to Manpai bugyal

Trek to Manpai Bugyal: Continue your trek from Betarni Bugyal to Manpai Bugyal, another beautiful meadow in the region. This day's trek is relatively easier, allowing you to enjoy the landscapes at a leisurely pace.

Camp at Manpai Bugyal: Set up camp and spend another peaceful night under the stars.

Day 7

Manpai Bugiya to Bansinarayan

Trek to Bansinarayan: Trek from Manpai Bugyal towards Bansinarayan, a site known for its spiritual significance and stunning vistas of the Himalayas.

Explore Bansinarayan: Spend time at Bansinarayan, soaking in the spiritual energy and the breathtaking natural surroundings.

Day 8

Bansi Narayan to Urgam

Trek to Urgam: Begin your descent from Bansinarayan to Urgam, a valley known for its lush landscapes and traditional villages.

Day 9

Urgaon to Kalpeshwar Temple and return to Rishikesh

Visit Kalpeshwar Temple: From Urgam, visit Kalpeshwar Temple, the last of the Panch Kedar temples. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is set in a beautiful and remote location.

How To Reach

By Air

Dehradun’s airport is the Jolly Grant Airport, which is located 20 km away from the city centre. You can hire a taxi from the airport to reach the city, which should take you 40 to 45 minutes depending upon traffic. link opening

By Train

Dehradun is connected by regular train services to various cities. The Dehradun Railway Station is located 1-2 kilometres away from the city centre and should take you only ten minutes, depending on traffic link opening

By Road

Dehradun is well connected to cities like Delhi, Shimla, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Agra, and Mussoorie by various buses. Most operate from the ISBT near Clement Town, with departures every 15–60 minutes. Additional services run from the Mussoorie Bus Station near the railway station and the Delhi Bus Stand on Gandhi Road.

If you are going on a trek don’t expect mobile signals. There are few spots on the trails of few treks where you might find a single tower or something but it always depends if that is enough to make a call or not.

How do you manage toilets?

We use portable toilet tents for sanitation needs, as permanent structures may not available. These are dry toilets, so please bring wet wipes or tissue paper for personal hygiene.

Do I need to carry trek equipment?

For this trek you just need a day bag to carry during the trek, extra luggage can be left behind at the camp site. Proper bedded swiss tents are available on this trek.

Can we consume Alcohol during the trek?

It’s a strict no. If you fall sick during the trek due to alcohol consumption H2H has the right to cancel your trek and send you back to base village. No expenses shall be refunded in that case and you will have to pay additional for stay at base village.

How do I prepare for the trek?

Start running/walking at least 3-4 Kms everyday.

What kind of shoes will I need? Does a sport shoe work?

If it’s a snow trek a good trekking shoe is mandatory. If you buy a new shoe do walk for few days so that it fits you well and doesn’t leave you with blisters while you trek. If it is a summer trek or post monsoon trek a shoe with good grip and ankle support will do.
