Your Adventure at a Glance

Kang Yatse II is one of the most sought-after trekking peaks in India and serves as an ideal introduction to high-altitude mountaineering. Located in the spectacular Markha Valley region of Ladakh, this 20,500 ft summit combines the beauty of a Himalayan trek with the thrill of a non-technical peak expedition. The route passes through remote villages, high-altitude meadows, river valleys, and dramatic mountain landscapes before reaching the summit of Kang Yatse II.

Unlike technical Himalayan expeditions, Kang Yatse II is considered a beginner-friendly 6000-meter peak for trekkers who possess strong fitness levels and basic snow skills. The journey gradually acclimatizes climbers through the famous Markha Valley, allowing them to experience Ladakh’s unique culture, Buddhist monasteries, traditional settlements, and stunning high-altitude scenery.

The expedition’s biggest highlight is the summit push, which involves traversing snow slopes, rocky sections, and glacier terrain before reaching the top. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Zanskar Range, Karakoram peaks, and endless Himalayan landscapes stretching across Ladakh.

For trekkers looking to step into the world of mountaineering and experience their first 6000-meter summit, Kang Yatse II offers one of the most rewarding adventures in the Indian Himalayas.
