The Char Dham refers to four sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand, India:
- Yamunotri: Source of the Yamuna River, home to the Yamunotri Temple.
- Gangotri: Origin of the Ganges River, featuring the Gangotri Temple.
- Kedarnath: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for the Kedarnath Temple.
- Badrinath: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, home to the Badrinath Temple.
Pilgrimage to these sites is believed to cleanse sins and lead to salvation. The yatra usually starts at Yamunotri and proceeds through Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
